The art is pretty but confusing to try and follow in a narrative. In addition, the story itself feels weak and in the whole book, nothing really happened except for the beginning and end.

If my library gets the second volume, I’ll read it, but I’m not going out of my way to finish this.

I love thé colour palette and the curved lines of the characters and scenery, it created a very doomed and dreamy atmosphere.

The story follows the excited queen to be and her faithful companions as they go a great quest. There is talk of revolution in the air, spies around every corner and a change a coming.

Set up for book 2

this book was very pretty, but none of the characters were very engaging. another medieval-lite story focusing on the aristocracy over the peasants. while we did see some of the lower classes, tilda was undoubtedly the protagonist and the story's focus.

I don’t know if something got lost in translation because it was originally written in French, but I struggled with the story on this one. I will say the drawings and colors were gorgeous!
