I tried, I really did with this one. I read Mafia King and it was not an enjoyable experience(for me) if you enjoyed it, my words have no bearing on your reading experience or your life in general. I can only give info on what I experienced.

I wanted to read Mafia Queen because I was hoping that the story would get better, maybe? Well, it didn't. It was just hard for me to read. The heroine is every bit of her 19 years but for some reason that piece if info is forgotten in this story. They literally gas light each other until the sexual tension boils then something happens then they are back to pushing each other away while both are secretly in love with the other the entire time. He tells her he only wants the baby to have more of a chance to be the Don then he goes and tells her how he will always take care of her and this and that.

She tried to kill him, twice! Butttttttttt when she is ready for his attention its like she wants everyone to forget it ever happened. He denies sex but then does all the sexual things she wants then pushes her away again. and I am sorry but how many times can the word "had" be used in a book?

Again, my experience is not your experience so if you loved this book I am happy that you were able to enjoy it. But, I did not.

I liked this book better than the first in the series but I did find the end to be kind of abrupt and could have been ended better.

Worst Book I have read?

Tbh no offense to the author but also kind of… the reviews felt like a lie as this was one of the worst series that I have attempted to read… The pacing was terrible and the characters are hot and cold in the wrong ways…. This book seriously lacked character development and the pregnancy trope was probably the worst part. I am DNF’ing this series

My favourite series yet

Of all the L Steele books I’ve read so far, this is my favourite series. It feels less cookie-cutter than the other books which is a relief. I also really enjoy Karma’s character. She’s starting to come into her own more which is wonderful. But right now there’s a major cliffhanger that I need to go and rescue the characters from!
