I rate this 3.25 stars. WHY? Because I was annoyed with Mia. I LOVED Will though. However sometimes it was like he was suffering from bipolar disorder. The writing was great, I have no negative things to say about that. Mia wants a secure future and Will doesn't fit into this future, so she pushes him away every step of the way.

This was a good one! Totally random read and I was pleasantly surprised! My only real complaint is that once the conflict was resolved, I was like, "That's it!" I think some groveling was in order, so that was slightly disappointing. Will was a dreamboat and easily made it worth the read. Mia was pretty likable, even if annoying at times, and the side characters were cool. I'd totally check this one out, guys.

I thought I could power through to the end but Mia is one of the most insufferable characters I’ve encountered
I couldn’t get myself to care about any of her feelings. She has the emotional intelligence of a thumbtack

Sweet story but seriously wanted to smack the heck out of the heroine through almost the whole thing!

The development behind the setting, the plot, the characters, their choices, etc etc did not exist in this book. It was as if it was written in stream of consciousness, not read over, not edited, and sent right to the presses. The sentences were choppy, the story line moved forward without any development whatsoever and the characters would voice an opinion and then forget about it the next second only to bring it up five chapters later, ONLY TO FORGET ABOUT IT AGAIN.

There were multiple times I stopped reading. I mean, the prologue was so well written. I don't know if it was because it was the mind of a writer speaking that it actually felt like a proper book that would keep my interest, but as soon as Mia started talking the writing quality went kaput and I wanted to die. I loved Will, his personality was enthralling, lovable, and captivating. He was the only good part of this book. With better writing he could have been magnificent.

2.5 The main character was one of the worst I have ever read. She was basically an arrogant jerk. I was so excited to read about a girl running a cafe in New York. But it was not what I've hoped. Also the pacing was all over the place.

I’ll follow the trail on my own,
and hope that something sets me free.
The darkness falls fast without warning,
just left with my soul to captain me.
But there’s someone waiting for me in the morning,
pulling me into the light so I can see.
He knows my face in the darkness,
he knows my hopes, my reverie
But he’s waiting for me to find him,
so that I can set him free.
So I let go and let him in.
Everything dissipates into feeling,
we allow our souls to meet.
We’re the static in the chaos,
the one thing… the something so sweet

Okay, The protagonist's name is WILL and he is a musician, and above that he's kind, sweet and very very honest about his feelings, so what not to love.

And for Mia, well her struggles were real, they came from a very similar situation that she had lived it her entire life, so you couldn't blame her for her decisions, especially the frustrating ones, and those were a lot.

Renee, she's growing on me, I've become more and more attached to her writing and that is something I haven't felt for a while..

I heard a lot of good things about this book, everyone seems to love it and I was excited to read it. The story is beautiful and I really loved. My only problem with it is Mia, she annoyed me. A lot. I can't get over how bad is her character and it totally ruined some parts for me, but if you overlook that it's a nice book.
