I've been less impressed with the later Sherlock stories, but this one is right back on form. Rather short to be properly called a stand alone book in my opinion but it is a great read. Twists & turns in a short space, good characters and vibrant writing. It also gives an interesting impression of a society reaching desperately for optimism while facing the chasm of war.

Another collection of Holmes short stories. An enjoyable listen, but the magic is starting to wear off a little. The last story was different - essentially Holmes was foiling a spy.
One more set of books, then i have completed all the Holmes works by Arthur Conan Doyle.

It's official: with His Last Bow under my belt, I've read the entirety of the Holmes canon. As with other volumes in the series, some stories were stronger than others, but on the whole, this was a solid collection.

Includes the Adventure of the Dying Detective, a story that further proves to me the Sherlock Holmes series is a tender bromance masquerading as crime novels. Maybe this is a strange reaction, but I just think it's so adorable.
