Please excuse me while I go and sob over the fact that G. Willow Wilson's Ms. Marvel run is officially over, thus my favourite thing to read of all time and the one series I can always count on to make me happy is over.

This entire run has been such a delight to read and I will forever be grateful for it for truly cementing my love for graphic novels and comics. Whilst saying goodbye to this run is heartbreaking, I can't wait to follow Kamala's new journey in Saladin Ahmed's new series.

I have no doubt I will be rereading this run for a long time to come and that's something I can say for very few books, comics and graphic novels. It's such a special story filled with wonderful characters, humour and messages and I will continue to shout about it forever.

Alright, so officially wrapping up this series and on the whole, I think the biggest strength is the characters. This finale really focused on Kamala’s relationships with her friends, Bruno, her family, and members of her community. That’s all great!
What was really a letdown with this ending was the plot. The stories don’t tie together at all, there’s no underlying point, it just ends. That’s so unsatisfying. I mean, I love Bruno, so I was really glad to see more of him, but that’s really the only thing that stands out about this volume.

This was a sweet ending to G. Willow Wilson's run with Ms. Marvel. In this volume, we get a roundup of the major characters and breakthroughs in Kamala's arc so she now feels like she has a handle on being a hero and strength in her identity.

Issues 32-35 are the final battle for Wilson's run, Kamala faces classic Spiderman villain the Shocker and discovering how her powers work. It's in a way the final, epic battle of this run. The last three issues are much more personal without a central and antagonist and is more so about Kamala's relationships to her friends, family, and allies she's made over the course of the series. It's a really nice way to wrap things up that emphasizes the character arcs.

Now that I've read this series, I fully see why Ms. Marvel is the cultural comic book phenomenon she is. The series has such a lovely feeling to it while dealing with topical themes and Kamala is such as a lovable character! Despite having liked the Ms. Marvel Disney+ show, I found comics way better and it made me a little salty the MCU changed her powers and didn't keep the tone of the books.

Honestly I think Ms. Marvel could've gotten a movie instead, bigger deal than a TV series. I also think she'd work really well in animation given her powers and how stylized a lot of the art is, if Spider-Verse could get an incredible, successful animated movie series why can't Ms. Marvel?

I was really worried that the series wouldn’t end on a high note since I noticed an overall decline in the quality of the stories since volume 6. I’m really happy to say that this final volume written by Wilson ends on a fantastic note and harkens back to her biggest strengths that she showed back with her first volumes. As a whole, I’d give the series 4 stars. It wasn’t perfect, but overall I really enjoyed the ride.

4.5. That last issue was kinda weird, so rounding down. But otherwise, I loved this installment!
