I was utterly absorbed in the forbidden romance between Noah and Nick since book one. This is the second book in the Culpable trilogy, where it skillfully unfolds their love story amidst the challenges of university life, age differences, and unresolved pasts. The fast-paced narrative, steamy romance, and suspenseful exploration of love and secrets made this a captivating read. Ron adeptly navigates drama and suspense, delivering a compelling sequel that lives up to the high expectations set by its predecessor. As someone who enjoyed the first book, I eagerly anticipate the upcoming Spanish film adaptation.

Emotionally Charged And Heartbreaking

Quote:📖
And with those two words, my world sinks in the darkness, shadows, solitude… a prison designed expressly for me. But I deserved it. This time I deserved it

Thoughts: 💡
This is beautiful and eloquent and will make you cry. The way the challenges that the MCs faced because of their age differences and unresolved pasts juxtaposed onto their lives as a university student and young professional was beautiful, heartbreaking, and well developed. Just be prepared this is the middle of the story so things are rough and the author makes some bold decisions for the end of this volume.

Fun Bits:
⚜️ Eloquent Writing
⚜️ Angsty Drama
⚜️ Will Make You Cry
⚜️ The Last Chapter 😭😭😭

Important Note:✨
This is book 2 in the trilogy, not a standalone.

Just from the prologue and I knew my heart is going to break with the sequel.
My heart aches for Noah and Nick. They both try so hard to make their relationship work but there's always something between them.
The revelation at the end has surely shocked me!
Medium paced with just a bit of spice.
Can't wait to see the movie adaptation with Nicole & Gabriel! And I certainly can't wait til Feb to see how Noah & Nick story is going to end!

I am absolutely obsessed with this series. The story is very engaging, fast paced, and keeps you from wanting to put the book down.

This is the second book in the series of forbidden and enemies to lovers and it did not disappoint at all. The second book follows Noah and Nicks relationship now that it’s out in the open. Noah is graduating from high school and going on to college whereas Nick is working in law. Noah and Nick are naive and think that going forward their relationship will be smooth sailings but this books packs a lot of obstacles (including their parents not approving) for Noah and Nick and we get to follow along and see how they manage it and where the come out. I definitely cannot wait for book 3 as this book ends with a 🤯

There is some good smut and sexual chemistry but also just the chemistry that they have can be felt through Mercedes Ron’s writing. You can feel the angst and the pull that they have and despite every wrong move you just want them to win and to pull through. Ahhh young love!

Also shout out to Emily Wittig in the beautiful design of this cover!

Bnyak scene scene repetitif yg akhirnya malah ngebosenin dan ga ada hal baru.
