I think I would've been happier with just the first one as a stand-alone.

A very satisfying conclusion to the series. The end was set up with a possibility for a sequel, and I have just checked google, there are two more! Looks like the box set is in my future! A great series for fantasy fans young and old alike.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bloomsbury USA Children's Books for allowing me access to this title.

FINALLY! After one heck of a cliff hanger, we get to find out what happens.

Once again [a:Jessica Day George|359109|Jessica Day George|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1396411384p2/359109.jpg] dazzles with her brilliant way of spinning a tale. While this adventure wrapped up rather nicely, it also leaves room for another adventure.

This has been a great little series that can be enjoyed for all ages or even out load as a family!

I have really enjoyed these books. They're light and quick, and the characters are fun. I felt like it was getting a little annoying how quickly the children made up their mind about someone in this book, but they let them be a little wrong now and then. Cute books to read with your kids if that's what you're looking for.

An interesting next installment of the series with plenty of adventure, questions, and just a touch of romance. Fully enjoyed the continuation of the strong female lead in this fantasy!

Thanks to Netgalley and Bloomsbury Children's USA publishing for early access to this title.

3 1/2 stars -
This was a great follow up to the previous installment in this series. However, I would have liked to have some reference back to that previous book, just to remind me of the pertinent points. These two books read together pretty much make up one whole book - its almost as if the author wrote a long book, and then broke it in half, publishing each as its own book. That being said, this is still a fun story that would appeal to a lot of kids, and grown-ups too! The griffons are great, the castle is great and I liked the problems that were solved. I hope there will be more in this series!
