Very detailed account of Egypt and its political, economic and social history. I wished the book focused a bit more on the common people of Egypt, as it does when it recounts the first recorded strike. I loved putting it on and imagining the world as the Egyptians understood it. I also wish it went past Cleopatra but there might be other books that cover that.
