If the disappearance of ballpoint pens was enough to make Veet Voojagig insane, one has to wonder what missing socks would do to him.
I guess I can see the appeal, but it wasn’t really my thing. I suppose I like my irreverent comedy with fantasy more than sci-fi, like Good Omens.

This classic seems to be very divisive; either you love it or hate it. I fall into the 'love it' category.
The shortfall of this book is that it doesn't have much of a plot, but I am largely enamoured by the comedy, and the cast of characters. Henry Ford and Arthur Dent are amazingly hilarious characters, I love all the bits with the second smartest computer in the world, D33pTh0ughts. I love how the characters seem to always defy the odds. The comedy is very witty with many fantastic one-liners.
If you've followed my reviews and ratings, you'll know i'm a sucker for comedy, especially when it comes to one-liners (i.e at the moment my only 5 star rating is Old Harry's Game). I'd definitely be interested to check out the sequels to Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy based on how much I enjoyed this gem. The jokes are still good to this day.

Such goofy humor! I crack up each time I read this, even though I know what's coming. It's just so shamelessly silly!
