This was quite cute but the mystery was needlessly complicated and I found that a slight bit annoying.
I love the mixture of mystery and matchmaking.
Cute series.

I had read the first book in the series and I really expected more from this one being that the first book got me hooked but sadly I was a bit disappointed.
The characters were not as interesting, the main character was hung up on some other characters and I really did nor like how her character was protrayed. She was a bit unbearable and always had one complaint or the other about 'men' and her treatment of the male detective was getting on my nerves. The end was disappointing as well, there were many questions left unsanswered.

1816. Lady Katherine travels to Bath under the guise of matchmaking Miss Prudence Burwick with Lord Annandale, but in fact to solve the spate of jewellery robberies.
Overall an entertaining story though the annoying Katherine is certainly an inept investigator and not as clever as she thinks she is. The characters I like were Prudence and Captain Dorian Wayland. Though I must suspect Wayland's mental state if he believes Katherine to be a brilliant investigator.
