"...we have to educate ourselves on the possibilities of what a new world could look like, before writing it off as fantasy. Isn’t everything just a fantasy before it’s achieved?"
This is an incredibly raw, vulnerable, and unflinching memoir. I loved getting to know Munroe better and having the opportunity to learn more about a range of aspects of the trans experience. I also hugely appreciated the ultimate focus on self-love and the exploration of how working through trauma to achieve this its its own important transition.
I did find the narrative to be a bit muddled at times and feel as if perhaps too much was being attempted to be covered in a relatively short book, but in the end things do come together well and this was just such an incredibly important and insightful reading experience.

A really thorough view of how systems of oppression can impact a life in so many ways. Monroe is someone we could all try and be like.
