Finishing this series is so bitter sweet. I truly enjoyed delving into the magical world of Harry Potter. The Deathly Hallows was intricately planned and brought the series to a close perfectly. I am already excited to reread!!

the epic final installment of the harry potter series brings some well-deserved praise and emotion as those who love this story and these characters watch it come to a close. the evolution of this story was incredible, and the finale was everything a lover of harry potter could've asked for. all's well that ends well and this series will be a timeless classic for many years to come.

When I read this as a teen I wasn't a fan... and I am still not a fan. It felt so lackluster in a way. Maybe it's because it's a traveling book but I don't know I wanted to see more. The final battle was great but the epilogue with 19 years after felt like a weird fanfiction and so out of place. And I hated that some of the deaths happened off screen, I cared more about Snape, Dobby and Fred dying compared to Lupin and Thonks - they both died just after their son was born which felt like a copy and paste because it was almost exactly like Harry's parents - and they died off screen. Lupin was such a great character and I really wish that his death was more pronounced because he was the last of the Marauders and he was one of the last links to Harry's parents and he played such a large part in the first part of the book. I also hated how Moody died and was spoken about briefly but as soon as they retrived his eye from the ministry suddenly nobody spoke of him ever again - he isn't even mentioned in the great battle and I wish that Harry would think about him or something since he always looked up to him. Also this and prevous book made me loathe Dumbldore and love Snape which shouldn't happen.
