He took the cat. I didn’t understand why he wanted revenge for his wife, until the end of the book. I mean she was awful to him. Marty. Ugh. And the ending, great. I enjoyed how everything was pieced together from the beginning after his wife’s death. Time to wrap it all up in a pretty bow. Ending with a mystery.

Listen. I wasn’t expecting that ending, not at all.

I forgot it was Malcolm’s memoir so when everything came to light I was set on giving this 4 stars because it had seemed like a typical thriller. Nothing that original after all. But I was wrong.

The ending was one I had not expected and overall I absolutely loved this read. It earned every star.
