I really loved this book! The witty dialogue was wonderful and I kept wanting to read to see how everything played out. What kept this from being a 5 star read, for me, was the ending. I felt it to be a bit lacking.

As classic a book as it is I barely managed to not put this on my DNF list as juicy as the drama is in their love lives, the narration pov just could not grab my attention not to mention the skips of time where we didn't get to see the couples bond only the shattering of them. Maybe if I'd read this in high school I may have been more interested but I could hardly finish it. The sickness of the one sister was the most exciting thing in the story for me. I retained absolutely nothing from this story.

The contrast between the sisters and the way they handle relationships is one that can appeal to everyone. You can identify with their feelings and I loved the plot. Another favorite!

I was surprised to be disappointed by this book. Compared to Austen’s other novels, I cared much less about the characters and was much less interested in the plot. It was also not as funny (probably the worst offence).
