This book is OK. It gets extra points for having that rare gripping quality where, even if you're not that engaged by the plot, you want to keep reading just to see why all the weirdness is happening and how it resolves. The characters are a little too perfect. They are mere high school seniors, yet seem perfectly in tune with all their emotional traumas and always know the perfect thing to say to each other in any given situation. Overall, it's a fun read.

I finished this in less than 8 hours. If you want to dip your feet into the horror /thriller genre but don’t know where to start, this might work out for you. Two seniors find a maze and wind up getting stuck inside. You have to really focus the first three chapters before settling in and allowing yourself to trust the author /process. Lots of discussion about isolating yourself in an abuse relationship, toxic friendships, trauma and letting go in addition to being fat & queer.

Everytime I thought I knew what was going on, my assumptions were blown up by the next page. This was such a mindfuck in the best way possible. I identified with Sadie and Logan in so many ways. Just delightful little horror story to kick off the fall. Thank you Ms Hollowell!!
