Ok wow so I had read to love Jason Thorne and that was iconic and amazing I loved it soo much but I didn’t think a book could be better then that. Boy was I wrong to hate Adam Connor is wow it was so cute and sweet but it wasn’t your typical contemporary romance there were times when I was like what the actual heck just happened
like when adam had Lucy arrested after she legit saved his son from drowning, or when Lucy was almost RAPED, and then there was when Adeline fulling went off the hinges and was going to hurt Aiden to save her career 😡, or when Lucy was pregnant with jamesons baby like WHAT
. I also love how it’s a dual POV because it’s just so cute especially in the beginning to see what they are both thinking after certain things happen. Also Lucy wow such an amazing bad ass female character that girl is hilarious and doesn’t let anyone push her around or hurt her ie.
how she kicks her attempted rapists ass all by herself because she’s a baddie that doesn’t need to be saved
. She is in no way a weak female mc that needs saving and I loved that about her. Then you have Adam and how protective and good he is to his son (swoon🥰) husband material right there. Overall just an amazing enemies to lovers book that I could not put down. Ella Maise you really did out do yourself. If you haven’t read to love Jason Thorne and are thinking of reading this book first I recommend reading to love Jason Thorne first because you do have those characters in this book and it does help fill in some blanks but it’s not necessary if you only want to read this one. But I say read them both it’s soooo worth it

Here’s the thing. Did I like the book???? Mmmmmmmm. Did I love the characters of Aiden, Adam, Jason, Olive, and even Dan? Yes.

It bothers me when the protagonist is way too stubborn and rigid while the love interest is flexible and reasonable. I had the same issue with Spanish Love Deception (also named Adam).

I’m also not sure I loved the narration style and there were a lot of plot twists that it was borderline unnecessary but if that’s your thing, go for it.

single dad trope.

“There was something special about falling in love with fictional characters through words.”
“I’ll hold you up, Lucy. You can trust me. I see who you are. I see who are, and I want you to choose me. I want you to open your eyes and look at me so you can see that I have what it takes, that I can take care of heart for you.”
“I hope you’re the hero of my story, because I deserve to be loved, goddamit.”
“Go ahead, tell me you hate me. I don’t care. I’d rather have you lie and say you hate me than have someone else who lies by saying I love you.”
“She was our Lucy, Aiden's and mine.”
“I will be the one who speaks to your heart, Lucy Meyer, just like you seem to speak to mine...”

Esse livro me fez rir tanto! Lucy é muito engraçada! Toda a dinâmica foi ótima! Adam é perfeito! Aiden uma fofura a parte! E as cenas entre Lucy e Adam 🥵

Adam Connor is HOT hot. I never thought I'd fall in love with a single dad (or should I say DILF). The enemies to lovers trope in this book is *chefs kiss* they didn't even lose the bickering and hate tension after they get together which I  LOVE. More importantly it's grumpy x sunshine?!?

Favorite scene would definitely be the one where Adam asked her to ask him to dance with her though he said he hates dancing. AND WHEN HE CALLED HER MY LITTLE WARRIOR ??!@#@%#$%#

Well, It was fun reading. But I prefer Jason Thorn than this book. I feel like the problems are complex and packed during 300 pages. I laugh my ass off while reading this book. Both characters are funny and witty at the same time. And the fight occurs during those two are lovely.
