It was an easy read full of Christmas cheer and hope. There were some questionable moments where the plot is rushed. I like that it is a clean love story. It’s a cheesy Christmas hallmark movie book that will get you in the Christmas spirit.
There was unnecessary focus on watching weight and focusing on food.

Moderate: Eating disorder
Minor: Death of parent

This Christmas tale featuring a woman who writes Christmas letters for hire has:
* A bland plot
* Unlikeable characters
* Zero chemistry between any of the annoying characters
* Weird pro-eating disorder undercurrent

A good, light-hearted, Christmas book. Hallmark on pages!

A sweet holiday romance.
I admit that I normally like my romance with a bit more sizzle than you'll find here, but if you're in the mood for a light, silly romantic Christmas story, than Debbie Macomber is pretty much a master of her craft.
My only real complaint about this novel, was the fact that the hero Wynn Jeffries was more than a little too uptight for my taste. Other than that, this was a fast, enjoyable read. :)

This was a really cute story.
Definitely a typical Christmas story but if you're in the mood for that, this is good for you.

It is what it is and I’m a sucker for these Hallmark movie-type books around the holidays.

I normally enjoy Macomber’s books, but Christmas Letters is my least favorite of them. The story and the romances seemed rushed and forced, and honestly I didn’t like any of the characters. The neighbor and the sister were especially annoying. I didn’t see any real resolutions at the end. If anything I envisioned TROUBLE for the couple in the near future. I will keep going with this series, however, as I have otherwise found her books to be delightful.
