Christmas By The Book gets 5 stars because it is one of the nicest holiday books I’ve read in a long time. (Not the typical Hallmark-y type books that are cranked out by the dozens each year or the yearly book that some well-known author “phoned in” this year bc it is expected). I appreciated how each of the random books was tied to its recipient and helped them. The stories all held their own as well as drove the overarching story of Nora & Simon. It is a wonderfully cozy holiday read.

Christmas by the Book is a different style of holiday reading.The characters are real, and relatable, there is a sprinkle heart string moments and Christmas magic. Plus the main setting is an adorable bookshop with a dog!

What I loved most about this book is the underlying them of love and family.

This book can feel slow at time but stick with it, the message is worth the wait. ❤️
