I liked this story much more than I expected to. I wasn’t so certain what Nate would be like. The author made him so much more than what we had seen in previous books.

I don’t even know how I how I feel about this book. I’ve went back and forth from loving it to feeling meh. This is my first Audible book. The heroine definitely got on my nerves a few times for being overly whiney. I would say I enjoyed the majority of this book.

This is a sports-adjacent, workplace, forbidden, billionaire, everyone knows but them romance. Nate and Rebecca are adorable.

Nate is a tech-wiz who recently acquired a hockey team (not gonna lie, I picked this up because I thought it was a hockey romance, so I spent the first quarter of the book expecting a hockey player to become a romantic interest for Rebecca or Nate, or bot of them (?), but I'm not upset about the outcome 😂). Rebecca is Nate's former assistant who has been transferred to be the assistant for the hockey team.
Their relationship is a little messy, as they try to navigate their feelings and their working relationship, but they're really cute. They're fairly decent at communicating their feelings, which is always a win for me, even if sometimes they're not the best with their words 😂

While there were some questionable parts, overall it was a cute story. There was a lot of other women hate for no good reason.

How can insanely smart people be dumb at the same time? I mean why exile someone cause you are in love with them?I'm not a genius but that does not even make sense in my brain.
as always Sarina books are awesome!!!!
