I read Swing Time a while ago, and loved it. This book, I am having mixed feelings on. There are many times when Smith uses language that is homophobic and fatphobic throughout the book, things I was not expecting to see and may have misinterpreted, but the fact that I thought they seemed that way says a lot. I think Smith is an excellent writer and I will be reading White Teeth at some point in my life, but this was not the book for me.
