Knygos aprašymas suteikia stiprios ir savimi pasitikinčios moters įvaizdį, kuri knygoje siekia išsiaiškinti sesers žudiką. Tuo viskas ir baigiasi. Knygos autorė su kiekvienu knygos puslapiu vis labiau nuvilia savo pasakojama istorija ir pagrindinė veikėja. Ši niekuo neįspūdinga, todėl ir pats knygos turinys niekuo neišsiskiria ... Veikėjai atrodo tarsi mėtytųsi savo veiksmuose ir sprendimuose. Knyga neatitiko lūkesčių.

Боже, як добре, що я не купила цю книгу. Після такої книги мені потрібен алкоголь та сигаретка, а ще допомога спеціаліста.
Ця книга викликає у мене неприємні емоції. Всі герої, особливо чоловічі персонажі, виявилися абсолютно огидними. Я можу розуміти, що у книзі є маніяк-вбивця Ромео, і ненависть до нього є логічною реакцією. Проте, саме інші чоловічі персонажі - поліцейські, батько головної героїні, доктор-психіатр, екс-чоловік Мелані - здаються мені безжалісними, збоченими та хворими на голову, які думають лише своїми статевими принадами. Вони так вибішують, що стає неприємно читати.

I zipped through this book, partly because I skimmed over some of the narrator's thoughts, descriptions, and many freak outs. The premise was fun-ish, but honestly the narrative reached its conclusion pretty early, and then the plot sort of limps to the finish line. The characters also acted very young; this whole crush thing went way out of proportion, and honestly we didn't really get to see Wes as a character beyond the glowing perfection that is the main character's love goggles. Jill and Kayla were probably the most enjoyable characters, and the best friend relationship was the best one in the novel. This book definitely had potential, but it just didn't work out the way I wanted it to and played out more like a middle school drama than I expected.
