As Tim Allen said in one episode of The Last Man Standing "I had low expectations, but WOW"

This book is missing a plot. It's puerile and simplistic and boring.

95% of the books I read are sweet Regency romances. I love anytime an author comes up with a fresh storyline. Sally Britton goes above and beyond with Saving Miss Everly.

Hope Everly and several others get stranded on an island. Alejandro has already been stranded on the island for 14 months when Hope is washed ashore. The spark between them is instant, but it’s an impossible situation. There are all sorts of characters stranded together. There’s a hint of Gilligan’s Island (without a Gilligan). ;-)

I loved every moment of listening to this story. It was so much fun! Highly recommended!

i honestly thought this book is going to be the best one in the series because of the adventurous vibes it was giving but boy was i wrong!! 😭 it honestly bored me.

the plot was way too repetitive and all the characters, except for the main ones, were irritating. even the romance, in the island part of the novel, felt forced.

only three things saved this book for me:
• Hope and Alejandro — loved them a lot and their scenes were cuteeee.
• The Epilogue — i always love seeing characters’ children.
• The Cover — it is very very beautiful. giving such soothing vibes.

It makes me chuckle to imagine brainstorming this novel, and thinking, “Yeah, Regency romance is ok, but what would make it even better? A DESERTED ISLAND.”

For when these kind of novels just aren’t escapist enough for you. :P This takes it to the next level. The Swiss Family Robinson vibes are strong.

Not that I’m complaining. I’m here for it. And I enjoyed it, in all its unlikely unrealisticness.

Shipwreck, love at first sight, a dreamy love interest, drama, suspense, and more! Saving Miss Everly is quite the adventure and not your traditional regency romance! I adore the slow burn romance and sizzling chemistry between Alejandro and Hope, the new setting, the characters, and the drama that ensues! Sally Britton did a wonderful job in crafting an original story which captivates her readers interests and holds their hearts. This book is excellent all the way through the endearing epilogue.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is certainly not your run of the mill historical romance! Marooned on an island with several others plus a handsome gentleman who has been marooned there for 14 months when Hope and her shipmates end up on the island as well sure made for an unusual story. I enjoyed this read-although I wanted to throttle Irene and her brother throughout the book. I can not wait for Issac’s story. After meeting him in Grace’s story and seeing his small part in this one, he’s become my favorite character and I can’t wait for him to get his own story! Luckily it’s next.

Hope has craved traveled and adventure her whole life. Identical twin to Grace (see Discovering Grace by the same author), who never had such wanderlust, Hope always finds herself in trouble. When her folly threatens to take away her change to get out of England, she hatches a scheme with her sister to switch places. Both sisters, then, get what they want. There's just one catch... identical in looks, Grace and Hope couldn't be more different in temperament.

Hope tries desperately to maintain the farce of being her sister, even when she ends up stranded on an island with a devastatingly handsome stranger who brings out strong feelings and is in every way her soulmate.

Alejandro had been shipwrecked long enough that he never thought he'd be rescued. Even now, he resents the additional bodies to feed and shelter, believing they too will be shipwrecked forever. He finds himself falling for "Grace" when they spend time alone, but is confused by how different she acts with the others.

Will they be rescued? Will Hope tell Alejandro who she really is, and will she lose him forever if she does?

This story spoke to me on so many levels. First, I had recently visited the Caribbean Islands in the book, so I had a soft spot for the history. Second, I like the shipwrecked/stranded Gilligan's Island type concept. Third, I'm a sucker for Latin men, and Alejandro fits that bill nicely. Plus having read Grace's story, I was investing in finding out how it went for Hope.
