This book is literally a picture book of the verse from Bilbo’s walking song that has changed over the course of the books and the events, the verse being sung in Rivendell when the hobbits return victorious in the end of The Return of The King, and it could also be interpreted as a picture book of Bilbo’s adventures in The Hobbit (There And Back Again), but I loved it!

Exactly what you'd expect - Bilbo's song at the Grey Havens. There is a feel of melancholy and optimism as Bilbo looks out at what lies beyond Middle Earth, whilst reflecting on his time in it.

A beautifully illustrated poem that serves as a lovely epilogue to The Lord of the Rings.

Farewell to Middle Earth at last, I see the star above your mast!
Bilbo Baggins, much beloved hobbit and hero, is finally saying goodbye to Middle Earth. He has lived many years, old enough to beat the Old Took but now it is time to say farewell. He is old now and unable to finish his book, has taken up poetry. At the Grey Havens, he shares one of his poems, a whimsical yet melancholy read.

Yeah, I got a little something in my eye.

I honestly don't know why this is even in its own separate book form, but I enjoyed it nonetheless
