I think this book could have been really, really good. I did not think the characters and their interactions were fleshed out very well, and I honestly did not like the main character (Millie) much - especially in part one of the book. Sometimes the writing felt repetitive or clunky.

I really enjoyed Nina’s character though, before and after the plot unfolded. I also did not expect the direction the plot went with, and still enjoyed this book despite the flaws I felt with the writing and characters.

This book felt like watching reality TV, you know it’s not the best TV you’ve ever seen, but you’re still enjoying it. I will finish this series, the story was very entertaining.

Flew through this!

only thing that bothered me was 2 contradictory parts of writing. said the room was NOT stuffy (drafty) then says it’s unbelievably stuffy. Another part was Andy grabbed the broom from her then suddenly it says she’s gripping the broom. But I’m being picky & it was an excellent book! The ending was SO satisfying !

I don’t understand the hype tbh. It was a page turner, but I wasn’t shocked by the twist, never felt particularly creeped out or scared, never was very curious about what was going to happen next, it was just very meh. Wasn’t enough to push it to 4 stars for me.

Wow this book was so good but I wouldn’t expect anything less from my girl Freida! Each chapter left me wanting more and there were so many twists keeping me engaged. I love to hate each character in this book yet Freida’s got me empathizing with each one. The change in perspective kept the book fresh and flushed everything out. I will be reading the sequel VERY soon!
