This book is such a cozy, small-town romance. I'm usually not really a fan of Best Friends to Lovers but this one was really well written. I loved that Nick was the hopeless romantic and that Noel wasn't sure what exactly she wanted. ! spoilers! It definitely was interesting for them to handle their different life situations and it was just great to see Nick recover from his toxic relationships. Definitely a very cosy, winter holidays book, with some pretty good songs in their playlist.

I love their friendship and how they discovered their love for each other. I am obsessed with the Winters family and the love and support they have for each other. I will say, Noel left me frustrated a few times I understand that her past with traumatic some of the way she handled things just left me shaking my head

Disappointing. The “villians”, Amber and Trip were written so poorly, none of their behaviour and dialogue was realistic. Explain to me like I am 5 why Gabby would be friends with Amber after the way she treats Noel - oh wait, it isn’t possible. Also weird army fetish moments throughout the book.

This book was adorable! I love the relationship between not just Nick and Noel, but Noel and the entire Winter family. It’s a beautiful story about love between the leads, but the family and community around them, too.

Likeable characters who grow up during the story. I read book two before book one, but still enjoyed it quite a bit.
