My younger self is so so happy that Romantasy has exploded in popularity. But alas, now we have the issue of sifting through an oversaturated market to find books with decent writing, plotting, and character development. This book is another low quality indie fast fashion Romantasy. Easy to read, easy to forget. Everyone is young, dumb, and full of powerful magic & cum.

Oh wow. This book ended up being better than I thought it would be. The first few interactions our FMC had with the MMC had me nervous. He came across as this guy who lacked self-awareness and empathy. But as the book continues it’s clear he keeps people at a distance for a reason. He turned into a playful attentive and somewhat dominating MMC, which I loved. 

The book felt like a mix of the selection with the flame kings captive. 

Would recommend, worth the read.

I couldn’t put this down. It was exciting, mysterious, adventure, fun, twists and such a great read. Honestly, I think my only complaint would be that, there wasn’t more! Totally could have been a little longer or given more in the wrap up of the story but it’s still great as is. Highly recommend. Lots of emotions and build up to some also clever smut.
