Held my interest and breezed through it, but didn't love it. I recognized the betrayal that was coming early on and spent the rest of the book waiting for the other shoe to drop. Didn't enjoy it as much as I did the Lunar Chronicles, but will probably still read the next one.

This book had all the cliches of a ya novel!!! It was terrible!!! We have mare who embodied annoying protagonists with her great moment when mare told Cal “this isn’t you cal” That was the peak of literature. Maven was annoying and whiny, him being the bad guy was predictable. The plot was really boring!! I hope you enjoy a book where the characters have a teaspoon of personality and the plot drags on!!

this is book was good but wasn't a five star read for me I hated how Mare pretended to be a silver when she was a red but also when the queen made her and I hate the queen and her son he was the worst

I loved it!
I cannot really understand the 1Star comments tbh. It’s charmingly easy to read yes (but me not being English mothertounge was happy about that) but I really enjoyed the plot and twists that the story brought.
I’m super excited for part 2 !

It took me a little longer to finish this than I would've liked, I got way too distracted by other things but it was so so good. I admire Mare and the strength that she has, as well as the mistakes she made along the way. I still don't know how I feel about Cal but I suppose I have the rest of the series to figure that out. 5/5 read for sure!

Oh my god. I am still not over that crazy plot twist. Despite the sense of deja-vu (The Hunger Games, Divergent, The Selection...to quote a few that came to mind while reading this), Red Queen kept me on the edge of my seat. Full review to come on Drizzle & Hurricane Books ! :)
