Saved from the dreaded 1 star rating only because it wasn’t as terrible as the real stinkers I’ve read. But still not good.

A nice brain break book. The main characters meet at the airport when they both are trying to get to Seattle 3 day as before Christmas. The woman has the same name as a terrorist and the agent called the FBI after she leaves. This sets off manhunt for her by some bumbling policemen. The two main characters end up renting a car together and driving to seattle. Lots of flirting lots of tense moments. Somewhere along the way they pick up a dog. Eventually the police catch up with them and put them in custody. Eventually they figure out they have the wrong people. The two end up in Seattle together, and they agree to go back to San Francisco Bay area and date.

Well this was the worse Macomber I've ever read. There was no emotion and any feelings we were told about instead of shown. It read more like a movie script not a novel. There seems zero chemistry between the h/h, yet they're crazy about each other. In the beginning, they don't get along and she took a nap but then at their first stop she says she thought they had a connection - based on what? you've been asleep the entire time! The terrorist/FBI plot was awful and seemed to be thrown in to have something else to write about. Don't waste your money on this one.

This was an enjoyable read. The story was great as it was filled with romance and mystery. The story is about two characters, Ashley Davison and Dashiell Sutherland both heading to Seattle and they share a rental car together. Ashley is going to Seattle to surprise visit her mom for Christmas, while Dash is going to Seattle for a big interview. They decide to rent a rental car as there are no flights available a few days before Christmas. On the way from San Francisco to Seattle, they begin to get to know each other and fall in love. The characters were great. Their banter back and forth was hilarious. The story had a bit of mystery, which was interesting. The ending was great. It was sweet and enjoyable. I can't wait to dive into more Debbie Macomber books. Overall, a great read.

Short story. Basically two strangers in a car. Winter time. With some FBI randomness thrown in. Not really Xmas related. Not great.

3 Stars. This one isn't a favorite. I like Ashley and Dash. However, I found the old man to be weird, and don't think aliens, should have been the talk. I simply don't care about the old man having a 'marriage" with an alien

This was unexpectedly fun! I dont read blurbs, I just pick books based off titles and covers so the fbi plot of this was a suprise but a fun twist from the classic Christmas romance!
