The last comedic chapter proves to cause whiplash, but this volume has a thrilling opening and an intense conclusion. It is unreal how Sebastian can manage to be the Butler G.O.A.T. for so long.

And we’re back to being meh. The last book pulled me into the adventure but this book showed the adventure was just a short stroll down the block with nothing interesting to look at. Why do people love this series so much? None of the characters are appealing, the plot is all over the place, nothing is explained well, and it appears to be attempting to be dark and magical but has no follow through.

This one popped OFF. It went so hard I don't even know how to feel besides damn son.

I thought Ciel was cold asf in the last volume? Nah he went WORSE this time. It shook me he was doing things that even his demon butler was side eyeing and hesitating to do.
