I normally love books written by Alice Feeney, but this one is definitely a thumbs down for me. I enjoyed most of the story until it takes a disturbing turn. Just gross.

Ew. I’m so sick to my stomach after finishing this. First of all it took me almost to the end to even get interested in this book. I never DNF a book. And then when everything comes out. Ew. Nope nope nope.

Pretty good tale this one!
I’d like to say I figured it out … I did, but only when there was a big flashing arrow pointing at it!
It moved on at a decent pace. I liked the dual time lines interweaving.
I didn’t love the main character or the ending to much which spoiled it a bit for me. But overall not too shabby.

Liked it but didn’t love it, I wasn’t super captivated until about the last 50 pages. I did appreciate that it wasn’t super confusing like some others that are based in the UK.

2.5 ⭐️
This is one of the only times I wasn’t the biggest fan of feeney’s writing. I just wasn’t too sure about the plot if I’m honest. I felt it wasn’t as gripping as the rest of her books.

I felt as though it was very unbelievable and somewhat laughable which I don’t tend to think when I’m reading / listening to a thriller. This book was a miss for me

Nonetheless I did not see the twist coming !!
