“My hope for all of you, is that whatever wish that you hold deep in your heart comes true.”

Returning to the quaint town of Hope Lake, we meet travel journalist Camille who visits and finds love during the most wonderful time of year. Cozy up, you won’t want to miss this one.

This short and sweet novella was the final in the 4 part Hopeless Romantics Series. We follow Camille as she makes the journey across the country to write about Hope Lake. She is soon after enamored with this charming town during the holidays and especially when she is charmed by a very single and eligible bachelor.

Reasons I gave this story 3 stars: it was very charming; however, it carried less depth than the first 3 novellas.

Reasons why I loved it: the author gave us a glimpse into the future and we learned all that was in store for our happily ever after Hope Lake couples.

Hope Lake is a town I’ve been wanting to visit in 2020 after having bought some of Nina Bocci’s books earlier this year. But with the year being what it is, I haven’t gotten to read all the books I’ve wanted to. Luckily, when I saw that there was a Hopeless Romantics novella released, and with it being a holiday novella, I knew I’d make more of an effort to take a trip to this small town. And I’m glad I did.

From Hope Lake, with Love was a great novella to read around the holidays, as I did. From the very beginning it pulled me in through the pages…straight into an East Coast snowstorm. Just where I like to be for a holiday read. The way the setting was written made me feel the cold, see the snow, and enjoy the atmosphere that only a quiet evening in the snow can make you feel. And Bocci doesn’t waste any time setting the stage for what this town of Hope Lake is like. From the moment Cami steps out of her car and finds herself in the local bakery with some of the women in town, you can feel how special Hope Lake is. It’s such a character in itself. And the slow burn of the romance that builds in the chapters following lends itself to the magical world Bocci has written.

I loved discovering this town and all it’s citizens along the way with Cami. It was both of out first times here, and like her, I don’t think it’ll be my last visit. Maybe the coming year will be perfect for me to read the three novels in this series. They are sitting on the shelf right next to me as I type after all.

It was so nice to return to Hope Lake and hear from some of my favorite characters in the Hopeless Romantics series! This novella follows Cami, a California travel writer who is spending some time in Hope Lake, Pennsylvania to write her final article for the travel magazine she works for. The story also follows Dr. Max Reese, who I’ve been hoping would get a story since meeting him in Meet Me On Love Lane. As Cami and Max start to spend time together, she begins to understand why once you visit Hope Lake you fall in love with it and never want to leave.

This story takes place at Christmas time and it makes you wish that Hope Lake was a real town you could visit. I loved the sweet friendship and relationship that developed with Cami and Max. Thank you Nina for an epilogue that was absolutely perfect for those of us that love this series and all the characters you have introduced us to along the way!
