I really liked the choice of main character and his background and growth. It was really special to read. The whole world was so interesting, too. Especially with the book excerpts thrown in. A totally fun read.

A Douglas Adams-esque science fantasy that I thoroughly enjoyed! It's entirely possible that non-Sanderson readers are enjoying the secret project books better than the Sanderson fans. We go in with no expectations and are immensely entertained. This one is humorous, but not frothy, and pulls together the adventuring, the fantasy, the sci-fi, and the human story quite well by the end.
Moderate: Death, Emotional abuse, Gun violence, Infidelity, Toxic relationship, Violence, Blood, Grief, Toxic friendship, Colonisation, Injury/Injury detail, and Classism
Minor: Child death and Suicide attempt
