although this book was 800 pages, i managed to completely devour it in one day due to how gripping the story and romance was. the depth that the author went into for the different characters (and even the development of the side characters’ own relationships) was just so intricate and well-done. despite the fact that it did feel quite repetitive at times (especially when it kept mentioning how small and tiny shannon was all the time),
i did really enjoy the slow burn of the relationship and found myself loving shannon and johnny both individually and together so so much!

It's 6 a.m and omg, I was not expecting this. I had read pretty good things about the book but honestly I thought Shannon and Johnny would be too sweet for my taste, but I was wrong. I'm usually not a big fan of males with hero complexes and the trope of the shy girl who need saving. But this worked, so well. Plus it's clichĂ©, yeah, but it's really absolutely well done.
And not only the main characters, despite the large cast, Chloe Walsh does a great job fleshing out each characters, I love Claire and Gibsie (who need to get together like, right now) and all of the rugby boys and Joey and Aoife.
4'75/5, I'm not giving it 5 stars because I cringed at some scenes but still a great read and I'm starting the next one as soon as I finish the review

i have got mixed opinions about this book. it would have been really good if it didnt have 700+ pages. and also it ends on a cliffhanger! so unnecessary. i m not gonna read the second book which has 900 pages. id think its worth my time.
