Empowering feminist, queer stories within a story. The whole thing was done with a funny, modern twist too. I paused in the middle and got a bit confused re-entering the story.

I really love Isabel Greenberg's illustration style so this was a delight. The story within a story device worked really well and I liked the narration style, which has a sense of humour and occasionally breaks the fourth wall. There are certainly some dark themes and some sad endings but it's also hopeful.
I've read most of Greenberg's adult graphic novels now but she has some more for kids which I think I'll look up.
