Okay. I get it. I get what all the hype is about now. I also regret not buying the fairyloot editions when they came out. Hot damn! These books are SO cute!! I am at the age where reading about teenagers and their problems and the coming of age situations do not appeal to me at all but THIS. Is just… different. I love it.

A great sequel to Heartstopper Volume 1 and a wonderful book in and of itself. Oseman's style continues to delightfully portray the fluidity and action of the characters. I particularly enjoyed the focus on Nick's journey of discovering his bisexuality and the inclusion of Elle as a young trans girl. The book also beautifully frames the difficulty of keeping a relationship a secret in high school, a conflict always fraught with danger. Wonderful book, excited to read volume 3!

Yay, a piece of media where bisexuality is validated, and you don’t have to rush to figure yourself out.

Excuse me while I grin madly away like a buffoon.

I really wish I had access to books like these when I was elementary/middle school aged. While they’re short, sweet, and simply presented, they’re such a great introduction to queer relationships in a non-threatening, age-appropriate way.

Can’t wait to cue up the Netflix series!

Very cute, slice-of-life kind of story. Not much happens
