If I could, I would give this a negative rating. I thought I would read this book to finish out the storyline in the series. But geez, the author should not have even published this one. It was underdeveloped and not even finished. It didn't even have a HFN ending - it had no ending. I think that one of the author's intentions for this series is to create interesting D/s relationships that break the mold of this traditional shifter world. I was looking forward to a domestic discipline type relationship in this book, but the relationship was never finished.
This author is definitely cranking out books and choosing quantity over quality.
Oh, I think wolf shifters breeding and owning toy dogs, or really any type of dog, just doesn't harmonize with their inner wolves. Wolves owning pet dogs? Really? The wolves should be the main animals in these stories. If the author wants animals in the story, then write in more wolf action. If she wants younglings, write in pups or children - not pet dogs. If she wants shifters to own animals, make it livestock.
