Just.. wow. The writing wasn't really good but the story is really.. shocking, and it must have taken a lot of strength for the author to write this book.
I admire Jane Elliot, she's really brave, I applaud her courage.

A horrific narrative of Jane, who was abused in all ways imaginable by her stepfather, since she was thirteen years old. This memoir explains Jane's abuse and ultimate triumph.
This memoir was hard to read, I can only imagine how hard it was to live.

Very sad and another one that made me cry a lot.
The reason I read books like this is to bring it home that there are people who have lived worse than me and came out the other side!
This was sad but gripping and if you are into books of this nature I would recommend it as one of the best in its category!

I couldn't put this book down. As soon as I saw the reference to "A Child Called It" I knew this book was for me. I am glad the author wrote this book and it was well written and detailed. I am glad Richard got what he deaerved but no way was it long enough. And when you think it is all over they come back for more. Absolutely diagraceful. I just hope that other people gwt a chance to read this and find the courage to speak out if it's happening to them

Truly a haunting true story of a little girl getting horribly abused for years under her own roof. Rating this was very hard because how are you meant to rate someone's experiences? Especially when they are as awful as this. The fact that she could even write most of it speaks tremendously about the author herself and how strong she has been to deal with and overcome such torture.
