Theo and Lex have a romance that has to battle the storm. Both characters have a complicated backstory that has followed them through to their adult life and become hurdles they need to overcome. Thankfully they manage to help each other.

K.K. Allen has managed to bring dance to romance and make it uncringey. She's written a lyrical romance with emotions brought out through movement and body language, with heated glances and purposeful touches. I enjoyed the casting and tour storyline with Theo and Lex, this really added to their relationship arc. Throw in the side characters who all became paramount to the plot and I was really intrigued with the story.

I'm invested and now need to follow the next set of characters.

This is another amazing book by this author.
"I wasn't capable of seeing you then. Not the way I do now."
"How do you see me now?"
"As the centre of everything."
These characters lex and theo stole my heart and gave me the biggest book hangover ever.
"If I could rewrite the rules, I'd do it for you."
This book was 5 amazing stars

This was my first K.K. Allan book and it most certainly won’t be my last. Theo and Lex’s story was hard to put down I loved it so much! The dancer/choreographer trope sucked me in from the beginning and their chemistry was OFF THE CHARTS. I also loved that she included links to the dances she envisioned while writing. I’ve never experienced something like this and it was amazing!! 5 stars all the way, I highly recommend this to any steamy romance lover!

I freaking loved this book, it was so amazing. But I will be honest with you all. When I received the book I didn't remember that I requested it at all and at first glance neither the cover, neither the synopsis looked too inviting for me. Howevere as soon as I started to read it the story got more and more compelling until it completely gripped me.

This is the frist book from the author I ever read but if her every creation is such an amazing tale then I guarantee it won't be the last. Anyway, the writing is quite smooth, it is easy to read and flowing. But what I loved the most were the little youtube links sprinkled around the story. The author, instead of trying to describe complicated and artistic dance moves and choreography, she provides the reader with visual inspiration. This gave a whole new dimension to the entire book. It was a brilliant idea.

Well, as as for the story, it started out a bit slow for my taste and at first I wasn't really sure about how I feel about where the plot is heading. It just gave the impression of something I already read and knew. But as things progressed something happened, it was pretty subtle and just a slight change of angle but it made a huge difference. Yes, there is the well known forbidden romance trope in focus but the way the couple separates or more like isolates themselves from the atmosphere/ circle of their professional life just made everything feel more natural and honest rather than risque. I enjoyed this change of pace, how while there was plenty of conflict going around them they could still enjoy the small moments of their relationship.
However, if we are talking about conflict, I feel that the brewing tension deflated in kind of an anti-climatic way. There were more in that aspect of the plot.
The romance was a bit abrupt, if you ask me. Yes, there was a strong chemistry between the characters but the build-up was still too fast.

I really loved this book, it was a phenomenal surprise and I'm so glad that I got to read it.

Loved this book. Being a dance mom I understood a lot of the lingo, the competitiveness, and sadly the catiness. I especially loved being able to see the dance being spoken about. The pull of Theo and Lexi also made a huge impact! I love their story and their love!
