That novella was so cute - and I love that it's set at the same time as Moon Called. I get all the Alan/Chicago references.

Very good short story but it really just needs to be added to the first book. Thank god my library had On the Prowl, the anthology this story is included in.

I unfortunately liked this book... The poor characterization is kind of whatever, but the discussion of SA was absolutely egregious, please don't read this book if you think that'd bother you. But the werewolf part kind of won me over, sorry, I just love werewolves too much, so I had fun and will probably continue in the series. I do not recommend it though. Please stay away.

why doesn't this have a cover?

anyway i made it about a hundred pages into book one before it became very apparent that this is more required reading than supplementary so here i am. this should 100% just be the first few chapters of cry wolf and idk why it isnt but whatever, i guess

So I went to start Cry Wolf and I was totally confused with what was happening, It felt like the beginning of a sequel. A whole lot of info was assumed that you already knew. So I jumped on good reads and read some reviews and discovered that the story actually starts with Alpha and Omega a Novella. Now it all makes sense. I like the set up that it has created. I don't know why it is not at the beginning of Cry Wolf. Now I can start Cry wolf again and know what is happening. I think is is going to be really great!!!

2021 re-read
This is so fast paced! Makes sense for a novella and truly is different from the romance-side in Mercy Thompson. It is a good beginning although we aren't really told much about what an Omega is. I like that we get insight into Charles though.

I decided just to review this one, since I didn't feel like any of the other stories in On the Prowl.

What an absolutely fabulous way to start a new series. It is brutal and a little difficult to read because of the content, but I devoured it. Learning about how Omega s work will be very interesting indeed.

Also, more Bran. YAY!
