I was so excited for this series. I've heard a lot of good things about the romance, but I found it to be lackluster. I wasn't expecting so much fated mates/insta love vibes. I was expecting more of a slow burn. The world building was interesting and imaginative. Overall, it wasn't a bad book, especially for being a novella. It just wasn't for me. I'll read the first book of the series to see if it gets better.
