If you are a fan of the M&M series then you have been waiting for this book for a while and let me say that it does not disappoint! The plot is superb and classic Lexi Blake. Sarah is not looking for long term romance, she is looking for a good time for the weekend. Jared knows he messed up in the past and wants to prove to Sarah that he can be her forever. The book is enchanting from page one to the end!

description I was SOOO excited to read this book. I have been waiting for this couple since Kai and Kori's book. It ended up just being OK for me. I wanted more time spent with the couple. I don't think it was necessary to have cameos of practically every character (and kids) from every single book this author has written (slight exaggeration...but not by much). It made the story feel chaotic and took the focus away from Jared and Sarah. I also struggled with the humor. One thing I used to love about this author was her ability to add humor to her stories. Her last few books the humor has felt forced. The characters I used to love have now become caricatures. It is just too much. Last, I wasn't a fan of the situation with Sarah. It was super cliché and has been done a billion times before.

I know this review sounds like I hated most of the book. I really didn't. I just wish there would have been more focus on Jared and Sarah's second chance. That is what I was looking forward too.

At first I was confused because I didn't understand what the hell had happened with Jared and his former best friend (I think it was from Kori and Kai's book, but I haven't read all the Masters and Mercenaries books). However, it wasn't a huge deal because its all just background. Jared and Sarah have a bit of a second chance story of sorts. Sarah is dealing with LIFE ALTERING news. No lie-I cried through like the last 25% of the book because she was breaking my heart. However, I thought this was really well done!

Oh to live in the M&M world, where no family is as tight as the one at your sex club, where people rarely remain dead, where kinky sex is not only abundant and shame free but therapeutic, where almost all relationship problems are solved with bdsm, and HEAs are fucking *everywhere* Until there are more books this is the last in my month-long binge. I have some Lexi Blake M&M extended universe stuff still to read, like the lawless series and the one she wrote with Shayla Black about the President (obvs a fictional President). But the crown jewel of the Lexiverse is Masters & Mercenaries. This series is utter nonsense. And I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Inject it directly into my veins, Miss Blake. I want it all. It has made the quarantine SO much more bearable.

I wasn't super excited about Jared & Sarah's story, as I didn't really love either of them when they first popped up in Kai & Kori's story. But it ended up being my favorite of the novellas. The play was hot and the story was sweet. And it really highlighted the 'found family' aspect of the MT/Sanctum/Topped clan. Which is pretty satisfying as a reader who is heavily invested in these characters. After reading the Texas Sirens & Bliss Colorado series, it is clear that LB/SO has a knack for creating lovable eclectic groups of attractive weirdos who find a home together. I'm here for it.

Would you believe that one of my all time favourite series has more than 18 books set in its world; and they do not include any of the spin off series that have evolved from – The Masters and Mercenaries Series is still going strong; and somehow not a single of the books have lost their charm; or their magic for me.

ENCHANTED is a novella based in the Masters and Mercenaries world; but on the peripheral characters – Jared Johns, a successful actor and heartthrob and Sarah Stevens, a trauma nurse by day and a submissive by night.

Jared and Sarah once shared something special between them, but the fact they were involved in a serial killer situation. Consequently, Jared broke the heart of the only woman he has ever loved, and Sarah lost the trust and easiness of opening herself to any romantic possibility since.

With the realisation of what he has exactly lost, Jared goes all out to win back the woman he loves, the only woman he has ever loved when Sanctum, a club they both are part of, provides the only opportunity he just might ever have.

Enchanted is all about missed opportunities, communication, the want and need of a love that is pure and oh so desired and badasses going all out for the happiness of people they care about.

Also, the fact that we get some hilarious, adorable and delightful cameos by some of the favourite characters; characters we have journeyed with from the start as well as a glimpse of their lives – it felt like I was finally home.

Enchanted is another brilliant addition to a series that somehow just keeps getting better and better!

Every time that I jump into a book in the Masters and Mercenaries series from author Lexi Blake, it takes me a little while to get my bearings. And, while I came late to the game, and so have some catching up to do to really get a bead on who everyone is, and how their relationships work, I still thoroughly enjoy these books.

Second chance love is always a favorite genre for me, and Sarah and Jared have their work cut out for them, especially Jared. He's ready to go all in to get his lady, his princess, but Sarah makes the going tough. The path to true love is never easy, though, right? But even the good folk that frequent Sanctum deserve their HEA, and Lexi does not disappoint.

Ian Taggart and crew always bring a smile to my face, and ENCHANTED is no exception. As usual, there is enough quirk to make it interesting, and enough of Lexi's brand of shenanigans to keep it steamy.

As is typical of 1001 Dark Nights, this is a shorter read, but it's just enough to satisfy and to give these star-crossed lovers the ending that they need. ENCHANTED is a perfect addition to the M&M catalog, and just the thing to keep fans of the series up to date.

Sarah and Jared have a complicated, messy, serial killer in their past kind of history. And, well, that's going to make anything they try to build together just a little...well, messy.

Add in the secret she is keeping, the reason she thinks that her life will never be compatible with his, even if they do get back together, and you have a story where 2 people want the same things but are so afraid of hurting one another that they hold parts of themselves back.

The bulk of this title was watching each of them realize that they want the other, but not being sure how to go about that, how to make it happen, and if it is fair to the other person to even try.

I loved the resolution, the way they worked it out and that both of them felt stronger for the support of the other. This is how romance should work...and, while there were some heavier themes, the overall feeling of this is that they got their well-deserved happily ever after...even if it maybe wasn't the way they originally thought it would be.

The topic wasn't easy but it was treated with respect and care.
The Sanctum family is one of my favorites, they never disappoint!
