I really enjoyed this story. It was unique and I loved the way it dealt with grief and relationships. Well written. There really wasn't anything that was a negative for me.

Ugh, this book bugged me. I loved the premise of the book and the fact that it took place on a lavender farm, but that's where the positives ended for me. The pacing was too slow, we got a lot of irrelevant details, the teenagers didn't sound like teenagers, and the ending was lame.

Hannah Montgomery holds the pain of knowing of the death of her child. She is trying to honor his memory by banding together with her three friends and build up their lavender farm. There, they will make products like essential oils and soaps and open a tearoom and B&B. She does not expect to fall in love with the man rebuilding their home, Wilson "Will" McCall... nor with his son, Jake, who is the same age her son would have been making her more tentative than she might have otherwise been.
A little too sweet in places but overall a nice story.

I received an ARC through Netgalley.

Will finally gets his happily ever after! Will McCall is a stonemason whose wife died at a young age, leaving him to raise their son, Jake, on his own. Will’s never gotten over the loss of his wife but with the arrival of Hannah Montgomery in Blue Hollow Falls, he may finally be ready to deal with his grief and move on.

Hannah buys a lavender farm with her three friends. She’s ready for a fresh start after losing her young son years ago. Although Hannah experienced a different loss than Will’s, she does understand grief. Together they learn how to move on with life after tragedy. There were more than a few tears shed through their journey to happily ever after.

Lavender Blue is the third full-length book in the series and should appeal to anyone who likes small town romances. The book can be read as a standalone.

Sigh. This ticks all my reader boxes but somehow I'm not as emotionally invested as I feel it should warrant, which is frustrating. I like the characters. I like the story. The fact that there was no needless angst and the negative emotions and insecurity weren't gratuitous was *chef kiss*. I mean, it's a SINGLE PARENT story which is basically my ultimate catnip. But somehow I wasn't in there feeling with the characters, which makes ZERO sense to me.

This is such a lovely series. The author’s description of the area in the entire series makes love even the idea of snow storms. The characters are always well developed and draw you in to root for them. This book gives us a peek at all the old favorites from the series and introduces us to four women bringing a Lavender Farm back to life. (My fingers are crossed that it signals at least four more books coming in the series!) The male lead is one I have been rooting for since the first book and his resolution was well-deserved and well-written.

I struggled in the beginning because of the trauma in the female lead’s past. I had not experienced it, but the mere thought of it and the author’s exploration of it brought me to tears more than once. Her resolution was beautiful.

I always look forward to a new book in this series and hope to see many more to come.
