I really liked this book. I wanted to read Slate's story since I met him in the On The Ropes series. I wanted to read Slate and Erica's journey once I read that Erica had a tough past. I knew Slate brought her out of the shadows but I wanted to how he did it and what that darkness was. Boy oh boy... I was thrust into a brutal situation of reading about Erica's horrific past. It was hard to read and even though it's glossed over.. Man.. I wanted to go in and save her. I stopped reading after the prologue just to take a breather.
I wish we got to see Slate with Brett or even Caleb just to see some sort of connection in the series but I guess that's why it's a novella and not a full length book in the series. The connection is only at the end and I'm going to start the next book right now!!!! ;)

Best of the best!

In a year that has been lackluster at best as far as reading goes for me, Among The Echoes stands out as a beautifully written breath of fresh air.
Aly Martinez created a story that hooked me from the very first sentence, and consumed me until the very end. I can't wait to read her others books....and look forward to reading Leo's story in the near future!

I’ve wanted to read Slates story since I read Fighting Silence. I knew Erickas past was rough but that was really hard to read. Solid story but I still love Till more.

I LOVED this book. Loved loved loved it. The beginning was tough to read but it opened up a story that was fascinating. Slate was a perfect hero and I really enjoyed seeing Erica regain her strength. This was such a beautiful story of healing and love. Plus I loved the little bomb in the epilogue. Really looking forward to learning more about that.

I read this book in a day. I couldn't put it down! My fav of all the wrecked and ruined series by far! (And I have since finished the series.)

I can't give this book any stars yet. I'm just not sure where the heck to put them!

While I lovedddd this story and the brutality of it all it doesn't really fit in with the first two books. Yes, I know it's a .5 book but I still think it took too long for everything to make sense.

The last sentence of this novel is key, and while I loved everything up until that point, when I finally read the ending it all came together- finally!
