This was kind of like Rumplestiltskin, except that Duffy annoyed me way more.

This Cornish folk tale is like Rumpelstiltskin and The Emperor’s New Clothes rolled up together. To long for story time, and with old fashioned pictures, but something nice to read together, or use as a retold fairy tale lesson.

This must be the Cornish version of Rumplestiltskin. At first glance, I didn't really care for the illustrations, but they do have some fun details. I did love the words used in the story, though. Too fun! Some of my favorites: confloption, gashly, oogly, squinny-eyed, whillygogs and whizamagees.

This Cornish folktale is a take on the classic Rumpelstiltskin tale. The beautiful watercolors lend an extra dimension by adding in key elements from the text. As for children, I think it would be useful if the classic Rumpelstiltskin story was used as a comparison point and a craft with yarn or wool braiding to get the feel for some of the textures of the story.
