Good introduction of Bosch
This was a good one. It really makes you look forward to more of the counselor and detective working together.

A weak 3, because the TV show adaptation really improved on the story imo, mainly around the ending of the trial. And I don't have the bias of not having read the book before watching the show, as this is a reread.
Bosch presence in this one is not super fun either, except for the reveal at the end.
I read it in audibook again, and the music they added is... Let's say coming of from the previous one (The Overlook, with jazz music made FOR the audiobook), it wasn't good. Tho the narrator is fine, I like him enough.

Couldn’t get into this series, interesting character development. Too in the weeds on the law for me.

Kellemes csalódás volt ez a könyv. Az Aldiban bukkantam rá, és ha már 1600 Ft volt, úgy gondoltam egy próbát megér. Hát nem lőttem mellé!
Igazi felfrissülés volt, mert bár a krimi az egyik kedvenc műfajom, de a zsánerre nem jellemző a gyilkosság utáni dolgok bemutatása; a bíróság, az ügyvédek munkája és a többi.
A Briliáns elmék c. sorozatot juttatta az eszembe, de tetszett, hogy elmagyarázta egy bírósági ügy menetét a laikusok számára is.
Mickey Haller karaktere ügyvédi mivolta ellenére is szimpatikus volt a számomra; összetett, a külvilág felé keménynek mutatott külseje mögött egy érzelmekkel teli személy tárult a szemem elé, akiről kiderült, hogy ő is csak egy ember. Vele ellentétben Hieronymus Bosch egyáltalán nem nyert meg engem. Egy ármánykodó, másokat kihasználó, egocentrikus barom. Pedig eredetileg azt hittem az ügyvédek ilyenek... :D
Connelly szépen felépítette a történetet, amelyet több gyilkossággal és bonyolódó történetszállal spékelt meg. Nagyon élveztem!
