Amazing book! My favorite King book so far. I really enjoyed the build up on not knowing what to target as the force of evil, and the ending was a chef’s kiss. The timeline being spread out so much was perfect because it just built that anticipation and questioning of whether they were going to make it out or not. Hallbrand truly saved the day, and his own touches with the Overlook where he was almost lost too were exhilarating.

I could write an entire essay on this book omfg, i love it so much

My main problem is that the author really loves using the n word to refer to the book's only black character.
Like, the author is definitely aware of racism and the word being bad but uses it a shit ton lot anyway

Other than that and a few other problems i am absolutely obsessed with this story and if anyone wants me to ramble on about all thr pathetic fallacy and different metaphores then i'm free 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️
