Despite some of the lukewarm reception this book has garnered, it was pretty much everything I had hoped for and expected. A very satisfying reading experience and exactly what I wanted at the time.

This book was definitely a page turner! I had heard it compared to A Secret History. The beginning was very reminiscent of that book but it definitely became its own unique story. Is it better? I wouldn't say so but it was still very good. I am not a fan of books with cheating which is why it ranked below 4 stars. Well written and very compelling.
