AI Shaun was the best part of this sorry

I liked Aliyah enough, just wished she was give more depth. I do not like how her
claustrophobia
gets solved via bleeding effect.

Gavin and My'shell are hilarious. We def need to see more of them.

I also liked Omar and the fact that he's
blind
, a concept that could have been exploited more considering this is only available as an audiobook. I don't like how this has basically no effect on him at all because of
Eagle vision

Rose is a pure plot device with no personality whatsoever.

I'm a huge Assassin's Creed fan and I was so excited when I saw this audiobook. It's fantastic. I love the idea of the person being experienced in the animus being blind. It really works with the audiobook format only being audio and no visual. I also really liked the mc. She's sassy and smart. I would love to either read more Assassin's Creed books with her or play a game with her in it. I really enjoyed this.

Assassin's Creed.

Primarily a series of Ubisoft-owned video games (of which I've played the majority - not all!), the franchise has also had a rather perplexing, Michael Fassbender starring, movie spin-off and a series of novels (which I just couldn't get into).

To that, we can now also add an Audible original (I think) audio drama.

And, I have to say, it's actually pretty good!

With some big star names adding their talents - I'm looking mainly at you, Antony Head (aka Giles from TVs 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer') - and pretty decent background incidentals, this drama also hews closer to the original Assassin's Creed games than the latter, in that it takes place pretty much equally in both the 'real' world (of the drama, anyway!) and inside the Animus!

The setting for the Animus, by the way, is in 1696 when Isaac Newton - Antony Head - has been tasked with running the Royal Mint, and with stamping out counterfeiting. As this is an audio book, it's also able to do something that I don't think would translate at all well into any other medium: the main Assassin character of Omar Khaled is blind! No idea how that would translate into a game ...

I’ve always had a soft spot for assassins creed, and this is no exception. An audio drama about an assassin working with Isaac Newton is a great call. I wish they’d make more audio dramas, feels like an unexplored genre that would work perfectly with AC.

Theres nothing revolutionary or fantastic about the writing itself, but the production is really well done, and Riz Ahmed has a fantastic voice for an assassin.

This one was good, not great.

The story set in the 17th century revolving around Sir Isaac Newton was very enjoyable. The modern-day portions of the story were alright.

Happy reading, everybody!
