It's been a while, but I am pretty sure I loved all the Butterfly Girls series.

I really like Michele Ashman Bell's style. She has a cute style. This book wasn't my favorite, but it definitely was good. I enjoyed reading it.

A quick read that I really enjoyed. It ended with obvious room for more books, but still wrapped up the story. It's the story of 5 high school friends that call themselves the butterfly girls and meet up each year for a weekend to reconnect. The book starts when they're 29. It looks like each book will focus on one girl at a time. This one was about Lauryn, an LDS fashion designer in NY who refuses to design dresses that don't meet her own modesty standards. A major designer tries to destroy her career. A sweet love story is woven in that had me grinning at the pages.

What I expected... needed something to occupy my mind with minimal work involved and it worked out.

It was a fun, sort of chick lit story about some high school friends who stay friends. The main character, Lauryn, is a fashion designer who wants to design modest evening wear. It looks like there are going to be more in this series featuring some of the other friends, and I will probably read those too. But it's not like I was really wondering how the story would end. Very much a happy ever after ending, but that's fun sometimes.

This was a cute story that dealt with a theme of modesty in women's fashion and was also the introduction to a group of friends who will be focused on in other books in the series. Some of the characters seemed pretty cliche and I'm not sure how realistic it was in terms of the high fashion industry in New York, but it was a fun read (or "listen," in my case).

I read this book when I was sixteen years old and still enamored with LDS chick lit. This book was RIDDLED with cultural LDS garbage. I hated it and struggled to finish it. I abhor the LDS definition of 'modesty', and reading this book was one of the first times I realized how ridiculous that was.
