So good! Friendships, betrayal, bullying, magic, careers, trust, adventures, mystery. It has it all! Great character development and imagery. The interactions are realistic, even within a supernatural world. Fast paced. Can’t wait for #2!!

enjoyed the magic world, but i really was struggling with the motivation behind character actions. i understood the main character (amari) but everyone else felt free floating in their decision making and it made everything feel like it was coming out of absolutely nowhere. the plot didn't feel grounded and when i'm already very slumpy, i couldn't bring myself to keep going. if i finished, i think it would have gotten about 3 stars

This was such a cute fun read. It’s definitely for the younger crowds, but the story moved along well and plot kept me interested.

Ensimmäiset sata sivua olivat oikein mielenkiintoisia, sitten juoni lässähti. En jaksanut kuin sivulle 145. Harmi, kun potentiaalia oli runsaasti.

Fast-paced, magical, with lots of unexpected twists, Amari and the Night Brothers is a fun and poignant page-turner. It's really easy to root for Amari, our amazing heroine, as she finds her powers and purpose. Can't wait to read the sequel!

I really liked this. Some of the magic felt hard to follow - likely more a reflection of my deficits as a fantasy reader than the author’s craft - but I can see middle school fantasy readers realllly liking this.
